Chief Coleman first joined Roseboro Fire Department in 1997 and left in 2000 where he joined Clinton Fire Department and made rank of Captain before resigning and coming back to Roseboro in 2007. Chief Coleman soon made Captain at Roseboro, then was appointed Deputy Chief in 2013 and then Chief in 2015. Chief Coleman had been around the fire house for many years before that, being the kid that rode his bike to the station when the siren went off and would ride with then Chief Billy Herring to the calls.
He would ultimately join Roseboro Rescue and EMS in 1989 and served many years as Asst. Chief before retiring as a Lifetime member in 2014. He became a Paramedic in 1992 and served in several counties over the years before giving up EMS in 2018. Chief Coleman now teaches Public Safety and EMT to students at Clinton High School.
